A new Church was erected
on the site and dedicated in October, 1873. The Church
was named "Sharon" (presumably from the
Biblical reference to Sharon in Israel, land noted
for its beauty-Isaiah 65:10) The Church was known
for its large Sunday school, and in 1907 a basement
was added under the building.
