| Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Sharon
UMC Looking for an evening of fun, excitement,
and fellowship? Then look no further than Sharon United
Methodist Church’s evening with Fellowship of
Christian Athletes, Thursday, February 23, 2006. Fellowship
of Christian Athletes is national organization with
local chapters in high schools and junior high schools,
devoted to providing fellowship for young Christian
athletes and leaders in an interdenominational setting.
Local chapters, or “huddles,” provide
an opportunity for students with similar Christian
values a chance to get together for devotions, games,
and activities. We are pleased to have the opportunity
to share the message of the Fellowship of Athletes
with individuals of all ages; our featured speakers
will be Greg Collingwood, teacher and huddle leader
at Eisenhower High School, and Kelly Fox, teacher
and huddle leader at Mt. Zion High School. Also sharing
their experiences in FCA will be some local student-athletes
who are involved in the program.
The program will take place from 6:00-7:00pm in Sharon
United Methodist Church’s fellowship hall, on
the corner of Wycles Rd. and Center St. Along with
the featured speakers for the evening, there will
be time for singing, refreshments, and a question
and answer period for those thinking about starting
a Fellowship of Christian Athletes program in their
own school. Individuals of all ages are welcome, especially
high school and junior high school students; in addition,
members of FCA groups from around the area, as well
those who are just interested in learning about FCA
are invited to attend. Please join us, Thursday, February
23, for a wonderful evening of Christian fellowship.
