Celebrating 150 Years to the Glory of God

This month, Sharon United Methodist Church will celebrate 150 years as a congregation. On Sunday, October 22, we will rejoice and remember our history during morning worship. To honor and remember the many years of chicken and noodle dinners that were served in our past, we will enjoy a chicken and noodle lunch, including mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce and dinner rolls. Everything will be provided – simply come. A celebration cake will be cut and served. We are thankful for our past, grateful for our present and looking forward in hope to the next 150 years!

Heritage Sunday

Join us on Sunday, September 10, as we celebrate Heritage Sunday! We’ll start the morning with a breakfast potluck at 8:00 a.m. Worship starts at 9:00 a.m. with a focus on “how hymns and music have shaped our UM heritage.” A special offering will be taken for Dove, Inc. Sunday School classes for all ages will follow. Join us!

Are you ready to “Walk ‘n Roll?”

Beginning July 1, join us for a rockin’ walking group that will meet on Tuesday and Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. at Cresthaven Park. We will plan to walk 2 miles (or approximately 35-40 minutes), but if you feel led to walk more or less, that’s OK! Strollers are always welcome. It will be a great opportunity for fellowship and expanding friendships within our church family and beyond. Please contact Lori Leeper or Jenna Doty with any questions. We hope to see you there! (The group will not meet the week of July 24, 2023.)
